The destructive bacteria in your mouth thrive when you give them acidic foods like tomatoes, salsa, limes, lemons, carbonic acid drinks, soda’s grapefruit or things like chip and breads because they have carbohydrates = sugar = acid = enamel erosion or bacteria bloom of gum disease causing bacteria (they love acidic mouths)
Wine and cheese is an example that has stood the test of time. If you drink acidic beverages like wine, then take the time to pair it was a basic food and a good one is cheese.
Other teeth friendly PH foods are cucumber, celery, avocado, broccoli, cauliflower and of course cheese. Cheese that tends to get gooey when you chew it is the best, hard cheeses don’t work as well for spreading around the mouth. Chew 2-3 squares after other items of acidic food and let the goop get all around your teeth. Cheese is being studied for anti-cavity properties as well.

You can also make a baking soda rinse 1 tsp of baking soda to every cup of water and swish that for 30 seconds to get an instant PH rise – the only down fall is it is very salty and you have to use it after every acidic, carb or sugar exposure ( I personally like cheese better) no other dairy works for this milk has up to 12 Grams of sugar in 1 cup!
